MARKET OUTLOOK: Further Continuation Tomorrow
The S&P 500 sold off hitting the 1400 range after disappointing jobs numbers were announced. As we stated before we felt there would be a change in trend on the 24th we saw a dramatic move today and we believe there should be some continuation tomorrow.
If prices break the 1400 range we believe a move to 1370 could be likely. As we had stated some time ago GLD and SLV have continued to break higher from their long decline. We believe that the dollar could find some support around the 80.50 to $81 range and the euro is testing prior swing low resistance point.

MARKET OUTLOOK: Further Corrective Action Ahead
The S&P 500 went through a short term corrective action testing the support range of 1407 which was the prior swing high. This still appears to be some indecision and we believe that we are still in an overbought condition that could see further corrective action as a possibility. We had called for a breakout in GLD and SLV and we saw them breakout dramatically today.

MARKET OUTLOOK: Care Needs To Be Taken In Overall Markets!
SELL SHORT: Trading at 335.00 ~ Target 250.00
In our prior commentary we pointed out that there would be major resistance at the 1424 range and to look for resistance near these prior tops.
Today’s high was 1426.68 just $2.68 more than our initial target range but prices sold off toward the close hitting 1413.17. We also called for major change in gold and silver and we had seen a breakout in both occur both yesterday and today.
Although the market has rallied and we are seeing the rally occur with the transports as well as the banks, care needs to be taken since we are near prior highs in the overall market. We had called for resistance and a price target for the NASDAQ composite index of 3100 and we hit a high of 3100.54 and sold off from there closing at 3067.26.

MARKET OUTLOOK: Change In Trend August 24th or August 28th
SELL SHORT: Trading at 335.00 ~ Target 250.00
The S&P 500 is still experiencing resistance at the 1420 range as prices held the high today of 1418.13. If we are to see major resistance it should occur right around this price ranges from 1418- 1424 in the S&P.
We’ve called for changing trend that could possibly occur on August 24 or August 28, so we will watch those dates for potential turn. We had called some time ago that we felt silver and gold would start to rally and break their longer-term downtrend. Today SLV broke out of a trading range moving much higher and potentially breaking the longer-term downtrend or corrective move.

HOT BREAKOUT STOCK: SELL SHORT: Trading at 335.00 ~ Target 250.00
The S&P 500 hit a high of 1418.71 just shy of the prior swing high of 1422.38. From a technical standpoint prior major highs become future resistance as we could be moving into a potential double top so watch for resistance at 1422 to 1424 range in the S&P.
Although we could still see further upside if we haven’t significant and justified break of the prior swing high keep in mind that we are already toward the high range of the price channel in this pattern.
